The Simple Token option on CoinBuddy allows for the rapid creation and deployment of a basic, fungible ERC-20 token on your chosen blockchain. This is an excellent choice for users who need a straightforward token without complex features, or as an initial step before exploring advanced functionalities.

What is a Simple Token? ​

A Simple Token is a standard ERC-20 token with essential features:

  • Fixed Supply: Total supply is set at creation and cannot be changed
  • Standard Transfers: Send and receive tokens between wallets
  • Owner Functions: Basic administrative control for ownership transfer
  • No Advanced Features: Clean, simple implementation without complexity

Creating a Simple Token ​

Step 1: Access CoinBuddy ​

  1. Visit the Platform: Go to https://coinbuddy.io
  2. Connect Your Wallet: Click "Connect Wallet" and select your Web3 wallet (MetaMask recommended)
  3. Select Network: Ensure you're connected to your desired network

Step 2: Configure Token Details ​

- **Symbol**: Short ticker symbol (e.g., "MCT", typically 3-5 characters)
- **Token Logo**: Optional image upload (PNG, JPG, GIF - Max 10MB)
- **Total Supply**: Number of tokens to create

**Quick Supply Options:**
Use convenient buttons for common amounts:
- `10M` - 10,000,000 tokens
- `100M` - 100,000,000 tokens  
- `1B` - 1,000,000,000 tokens
- `10B` - 10,000,000,000 tokens
- `1T` - 1,000,000,000,000 tokens

Or enter a custom amount manually.

Step 3: Review Advanced Settings ​

Keep It Simple

For Simple Token creation, keep the "Advanced Settings" section collapsed or unchecked. Enabling any advanced features will create an Advanced Token instead.

Step 4: Deploy Your Token ​

  1. Select Blockchain: Choose your target network from supported options
  2. Create Token: Click the "Create Token" button
  3. Confirm Transaction: Review and confirm in your wallet
  4. Success!: Save your transaction hash and contract address

Save Important Details

Always save your contract address and transaction hash immediately after deployment. You'll need these for adding the token to wallets and DEXs.

What Simple Tokens CANNOT Do ​

  • Mint New Tokens: Supply is fixed forever
  • Burn Tokens: Cannot reduce total supply
  • Pause Transfers: Cannot halt token movement
  • Fee Collection: No transaction fees or taxes
  • Access Control: No blacklist/whitelist functionality
  • Reflections: No automatic reward distributions

Single Transfer:

  • Send tokens to one recipient
  • Specify exact amount and recipient address

Bulk Transfer - Same Amount:

  • Send equal amounts to multiple recipients
  • Efficient for airdrops or equal distributions

Bulk Transfer - Different Amounts:

  • Send varying amounts to different recipients
  • Customize each recipient's allocation
Ownership Transfer

Transferring ownership is permanent and irreversible. The new owner gains full administrative control, and you lose all administrative rights. Plan carefully before executing.
