Wallet Connection Issues ​

Wallet Not Connecting ​

MetaMask Not Appearing

Symptoms: Can't see MetaMask option when clicking "Connect Wallet"

Solutions:

  1. Check Extension: Ensure MetaMask extension is installed and enabled
  2. Refresh Page: Simple page refresh often resolves connection issues
  3. Clear Cache: Clear browser cache and cookies
  4. Try Incognito: Use private/incognito browsing mode
  5. Disable Ad Blockers: Temporarily disable browser ad blockers
  6. Update MetaMask: Ensure you're using the latest version
Connection Keeps Failing

  • Problem: Blockchain is overloaded

Invalid Parameters:

Transaction Stuck "Pending"

Token Not Appearing After Creation

Lost Contract Address ​

Critical Information Recovery

If you lost your contract address:

  1. Check Transaction History: Find deployment transaction in MetaMask
  2. Blockchain Explorer: Use transaction hash to find contract address
  3. My Tokens Section: Check if still visible in CoinBuddy dashboard
  4. Browser History: Look for previous CoinBuddy sessions

Prevention: Always save contract address and transaction hash immediately after deployment

Wallet Recovery Issues ​

Wallet Access Problems

If you can't access your wallet:

  1. Seed Phrase Recovery: Use your 12/24 word backup phrase
  2. Private Key Import: Import using private key if available
  3. Hardware Wallet: Reconnect and unlock hardware wallet
  4. Multiple Accounts: Check if using different account within wallet

Important: CoinBuddy cannot recover lost wallet access - this is blockchain-level security

  1. Find Transaction: Enter transaction hash in search
  2. Check Status: Look for "Success" or "Failed" status

  4. Verify Contract: Confirm contract address matches expectations
  5. Check Events: Review token transfer events and emissions

MetaMask Advanced Settings ​

Reset Account (Last Resort)

When to Use: Persistent transaction issues or account corruption

Steps:

  1. Go to MetaMask Settings → Advanced
  2. Find "Reset Account" option
  3. Confirm reset (loses transaction history only, not funds)
  4. Reconnect to CoinBuddy

Warning: Only resets local transaction history, doesn't affect actual blockchain state
